Intracorp was founded as International Rehabilitation Associates in 1978, first as a subsidiary of Insurance Company of America. When INA merged with Connecticut General as CIGNA, IRA became a subsidiary of CIGNA. Eventually the name, Intracorp, was adopted to reflect an expansion of products (workers' compensation and disability case management products including utilization review, peer review and bill review). At the end of 2010, Intracorp was acquired by Genex Services, LLC and merged into Genex.
