The Rhode Island Public Health Institute’s mission is to promote community health and eliminate health disparities within and beyond state borders. We develop innovative public health programs, conduct translational and policy research, as well as train students and public health practitioners.
Our strategic goals include developing innovative, evidence-informed programs that address the social determinants of health, improving systems to connect individuals to clinical care and community programs, building the foundation for effective public health interventions and policies, and using our data and experience to advance state- and federal-level health policy work.
