NABET 700-M UNIFOR is a union of film, television and new media technicians that has serviced the greater Toronto area for over 45 years.
NABET 700-M UNIFOR was formed in 1970 to provide video tape technicians, but later expanded to provide television and film technicians to Toronto's growing production industry. In 1994 Nabet 700 merged with the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada (CEP), which was the third largest trade union in North America at the time with over 180,000 members.
