ELSA Bulgaria is part of the larger international network of ELSA (European Law Students' Association), which consists of over 60,000 students represented in over 375 law schools across Europe.
The organisation at national level was founded in 1988 but was officially registered in the register of non-profit organisations on May 7, 1990.
The main aim of our activities, over more than 30 years, has always been our motto — "A fair world that respects human, dignity and cultural diversity."
Guided by our values, as an international organisation, we strive for the professional and personal development of young people in a better world.
ELSA Bulgaria aims to support legal education in the country. Because of that, we encourage the organisation of conferences, summer and winter schools, as well as visits to the leading institutions in the country.
No less important is our goal to provide an international platform for law students, as for this purpose the association develops an international internship program (the so-called STEP) and provides publications in prestigious law journals.
