The Collaborative for Health & Environment (CHE) is committed to protecting the health of families, children and communities from pollution and other environmental factors that contribute to disease and disability. CHE serves as a non-partisan source of information on emerging environmental health research and creates multiple educational forums to translate the latest environmental health research into health-promoting programs, policies and practices.
Founded in 2002 as a program of Commonweal, CHE currently has more than 5,000 individual and organizational partners in over 90 countries and all 50 US states. These include scientists, health professionals, health-affected groups, government agencies, health and environmental justice advocates, and other concerned citizens, all committed to improving human health across the lifespan.
