The EDCSSMU is McGill's Chapter of Safely Connected. We provide non judgemental, confidential, and non directional peer support services through an online messaging platform and virtual support groups. Our student volunteers are trained annually on harm reduction, active listening, and other trauma-informed, anti-oppressive care practices.
This service is free of charge, and does not require any kind of diagnosis. It is open to anyone who wishes to privately discuss experiences with disordered eating, body image issues, and/or eating disorders, but is not limited to these topics.
We also put on events that aim to raise awareness on eating disorders and disordered eating in a university context.
