In March 2020, the citizens of Cowessess First Nation voted to pass the Miyo Pimatisowin Act, its own Child Welfare Legislation. This act would allow Chief Red Bear Children's Lodge to self-govern, and make decisions that are in the best interest of our community members. We are committed to a holistic, traditional, and culturally-based healing model that serves our children and families.
