The xHub Innovation Society (“xHub”) is a proposed innovation space, managed by the Centre for African Leadership Studies (CALS), in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. At xHub, young entrepreneurs would receive pro-active, value-added support, and access to critical tools, information, education, contacts, resources and capital that may otherwise be unaffordable, inaccessible or unknown. xHub would allow for knowledge exchange between the academic and business community to contribute to information and communication technology (ICT) innovation within their local context. Through xHub, we will provide equal opportunity for men and women to reach their full innovative potential by providing the support, guidance and knowledge needed to enhance an already powerful generation. Such an innovation space collaboration hub would be a catalyst to align the skills and projects that the youth need with real business demands so that they can see their efforts as contributing to a viable career.
