The South East Market was born out of the Grand Rapids’ community voicing their want and overdue need to support sustainable, local and ethically led businesses for essential items and services. Our work aims to heal the historical oppression that has disconnected marginalized groups from their culture, family and the land. The South East Market facilitates this healing by connecting us all to the array of talented farmers and small businesses primarily in Michigan.
Our top priority is sourcing from the most marginalized groups in our society through a black, indigenous, queer, feminist framework.
