The German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan) is the official representative of the German economy in Azerbaijan providing information services and support to the companies in their market and business research since 2012. The AHK Azerbaijan emerged from the German-Azerbaijan Business Association (DAWF) founded in 1999. With over 170 member companies, the AHK Azerbaijan is the most powerful European economic association in Azerbaijan. Companies can particularly benefit from the well-developed network of AHK in the economy and politics of Azerbaijan. While actively representing the interests of its member companies, the AHK Azerbaijan also offers a wide range of reliable business and legal services.
The AHK Azerbaijan is a part of the global network of German Foreign Trade Chambers (AHKs) in over 92 countries at 140 locations. AHKs are closely connected to the network of the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IHKs). In close collaboration with the AHKs, the IHKs support German companies in establishing and expanding their business relations with foreign countries. The joint umbrella organisation is the German Association of Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), which coordinates and supports the AHK network. The AHK Azerbaijan is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy on a pro rata in accordance with a resolution of the German Parliament.
