The Saint John Sea Dogs have been a proud member of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) since 2005, and have worked diligently to ensure that its players achieve their goals, whether that involves playing at the next level or furthering their education while getting the opportunity to play major junior hockey. The Sea Dogs' vision is "To be the model organization in the CHL". The organization and its leadership work to achieve this by being people-focused and committed to winning on and off the ice.
The Sea Dogs have won three President Cup Titles in 2011, 2012, and 2017; as well as two Memorial Cup Titles in 2011 and 2022. Off the ice, the Sea Dogs are committed to the Saint John Community and have worked to bring the Memorial Cup tournament to the region in 2022, as well as other large events such as Canada vs. Russia series, concerts during games, and much more.
Since the team’s inception, the Sea Dogs have produced 24 NHL draft picks and to date, 14 Sea Dogs have played in the NHL, while several others have appeared in the American Hockey League, ECHL, other minor leagues, and Europe.
The organization is very proud that a number of our graduates have also continued their education and playing careers at universities across Canada through Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS).
