The University of Washington School of Dentistry educates a diverse student body through a challenging learning environment informed by cutting-edge scholarship. We fully embrace the social responsibility and public trust of our role as an international leader in education, research and clinical services.
As part of a public university, we will educate a progressive oral health workforce, develop community collaborations, and bring advances in science to address the pressing oral health needs of our state, the nation and the world. In order to accomplish our vision, we will promote diversity in thinking and human resources, support creative breakthroughs, and commit to ethical and responsible leadership in patient care, scholarship and research.
The School's clinical services include treatment of patients with developmental or acquired disabilities; care for medically complex patients requiring dental clearance for surgery; and maxillofacial prosthetics for patients with impairments due to surgery or disease.
