History of StratMar
Founded in 1969, StratMar has long been an leader in the retail services industry. Owned by the Charas Family, StratMar is the Founding Father of retail Intercept™ retail demo and sampling program programs and is one of the largest national field services management companies in the industry. Our founder, Dr. Dan Ailloni-Charas, defined Intercept as the “direct interaction through personal contact to actively persuade to purchase and gather valuable insight on product awareness and trial.”
With a rich, 45-year tradition of pioneering innovative methods for promoting products at retail, StratMar’s Management Team has conducted literally tens of thousands of customized solutions for our clients in virtually every retail channel. During his career with StratMar first as President & CEO, now Chairman Emeritus, Dr. Ailloni-Charas trademarked many of these solutions, published over 100 articles and wrote textbooks on the subject of Product Promotion. He taught his trade craft to generations of MBA students. His book Legacy of Innovation continues to grow and succeed. Since inception, StratMar has commanded and embodied a thought leadership position, identifying changes in the retail landscape, forging into new markets and incorporating the most creative and effective new methods available to solve retail challenges.
