Headquartered in West Lafayette, Indiana, Purdue Federal Credit Union (Purdue Federal) was founded on the Purdue University campus in 1969 by a group of Purdue employees searching for a place where they, their families and their fellow employees could save and borrow money safely, confidentially and at a fair rate of interest.
Through its 10 full-service branches, two high-school branches, and online and mobile banking services, Purdue Federal offers its members an array of financial products including locally serviced mortgage and consumer loan products, savings and money market accounts, checking accounts with direct deposit, individual retirement accounts and business accounts. It also provides online services that allow its members to manage their money when and where it’s convenient for them.
And today, Purdue Federal remains strong because it has stayed true to its original purpose—people helping people. Among the things that make Purdue Federal a great place to work are eight hours of paid volunteer time off (VTO); a zero-percent interest loan for professional clothing, exercise equipment or the purchase of a personal home computer; and employee recognition through monthly, quarterly and annual awards.
