“I usually work with an open brief, although the lead might come from the client in terms of what the objectives are for each environment and how they want the experience of their home, office or restaurant space. From this I create the layout and work to ensure that the environment of the client allows the people to move around and interact well. Circulation is most important in the atmosphere of any location. Next are function and what the people and their guest
will encounter when they are in the place; the colors, textures and detail design elements. Design is very important because it’s what we all see and feel everyday, we are guided by our senses. Every time we enter a space there are reasons we feel comfortable or uncomfortable but once we have achieved that perfect environment for a client the rest
will ensure a good experience.”
