Knapp Ranch is set in the breathtaking alpine valley of Lake Creek, enveloped by the Sawatch Range, Knapp Ranch is propelled by a vision to preserve the land, water, and wildlife in a rustic and timeless setting. Betsy and Bud Knapp conceived and built the ranch as an informal country retreat for family and friends. In recent years, the Farm at Knapp Ranch has been growing lettuce, microgreens, vegetables and fruit trees at an elevation of 8,700 feet. High altitude farming takes a sophisticated, educated touch with the varieties of produce being harvested and provided to local restaurants in the valley.
The story of Knapp Ranch and Betsy and Bud’s vision is beautifully depicted in the new book Living Beneath the Colorado Peaks, The Story of Knapp Ranch.
