Poem Renovation is a simple, fun, free, website-based, daily word challenge and educational tool used in grades six and up. Site visitors are presented with a scrambled excerpt from a book, poem or song. Users select words that resonate with them, then move them around on a digital canvas to create something new–a poem, a phrase, even word art. Teachers say it’s a fun, innovative way to prompt creative writing and self expression, encourage creative thought, instill confidence, introduce vocabulary, as well as teach poetry writing and interpretation.
