One of the first libraries in Ventura County when it opened in the early 1900’s, the Simi Valley Library was located in a quiet, residential neighborhood and housed a very small collection. Mirroring the growth of the community it serves, the library quickly outgrew that location and plans were established to build a new library on the City’s civic center campus. With its completion in 1980, the beautiful 35,000 square foot facility became one of the City’s landmarks.
Simi Valley Public Library currently provides a range offerings to the public, including: homework help, public computer access, wifi, early literacy sessions, adult literacy, books, DVD's, CD's, eBooks, language learning materials, advanced research assistance, and access to thousands of sources through our online databases.
