Carradale is a Services-Led, SaaS healthcare business. We tackle the big problems in healthcare delivery by modelling complex interactions and identifying key points of leverage. Our unifying focus is on tackling Unwarranted Variation which can result in any combination of avoidable clinical risk, inefficiency and waste. Taken together, such inefficiency and unwarranted variation is estimated to consume anywhere between 20% and 50% of the USD 9.59tr global healthcare budget.
Health care delivery systems are inherently complex consisting of multiple interdependent systems and processes that behave in ways that make it highly problematic to identify simple cause and effect relationships. Most 'solutions' either underestimate or fail to consider the overlapping and intertwined interactions between people, processes, technology, and disparate physical spaces. Billion-dollar investments in Electronic Patient Records, clinical research and training are necessary to help standardise care but do not address the mass of healthcare activity that happens outside the consulting room or operating theatre.
We deliver sustainable change by baselining existing service delivery operations and re-configuring approaches underpinned by activity level costings and co-authoring gold standard sets of processes (‘SOPs’) for each point of leverage and providing access to these SOPs through our SaaS platform, SOPHIA.
Our clients consist of both healthcare providers as well as the suppliers of solutions to providers. They engage our teams to analyse, describe, record, standardise, automate, monitor, manage and improve the processes that together comprise care delivery and which profoundly affect the quality and cost of care.
