Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV) is Connecticut’s leading voice for victims of domestic violence and those organizations that serve them. We are a member organization of Connecticut’s 18 domestic violence service organizations that provide critical safety and support to victims across the state of Connecticut.
Founded in 1978, CCADV works with our membership to understand and respond to the ongoing needs of domestic violence survivors and their families and to create social change through a variety of initiatives. CCADV leads on public policy advocacy, technical assistance, prevention, and public awareness. Some of our specific project and initiatives include diversity & accessibility, health professional outreach, lethality assessment, domestic violence fatality review, and legal advocacy, among others
We also partner with the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center as part of our Children’s Center on Family Violence (CCFV). CCFV aims to reduce the impact of family violence on children through a trauma-informed, multidisciplinary, multi-agency approach.
