We're a not-for-profit housing association, providing homes and services to more than 20,000 customers, leaseholders and shared owners in the city of Newport.
Newport is changing and so is Newport City Homes.
We have never been just a housing association. We’re the largest provider of social housing in the city and delivered on the promise we made at stock transfer in 2009. We’re growing and we have a clear purpose: to provide homes in communities where people want to live.
We have big ambitions. NCH Strategy 2025 lays out the ambition and priorities that will drive our work for the next five years. This will make sure we focus on what we need to do to deliver the best possible outcomes for our customers, communities, and colleagues.
To do this, we’ve identified four strategic priorities:
• We will continue to invest in homes and services that our residents want.
• We will define and deliver our social purpose.
• We will maximise the supply of quality new homes and regenerate communities.
• We will be an employer of choice, demonstrating we are a well-run housing association with a strong financial performance.
There is a housing crisis, not just in Newport, but across Wales and the UK. We have the ambition to play a major role in addressing this acute shortage of homes. We will provide over 2500 new homes in the next ten years, and want to be one of the biggest developers of affordable housing in Wales.
