Sweat was originally the Sweat with Kayla app, launched by Tobi Pearce and Kayla Itsines in 2015 as a digital home for Itsines’ popular 28-minute High Intensity program. The program had humble beginnings as an eBook and quickly gained worldwide attention as an efficient and effective training style after Itsines shared her client’s success stories on Instagram. Founded on the simple belief that fitness can genuinely help women improve their confidence, health and quality of life, the app reached #1 in the App Store in over 142 countries within a year of its release.
The app became Sweat in 2017 and welcomed more trainers - and their programs - to the platform. Since then, Sweat has continued to be driven by its mission to empower women through fitness and has built one of the most engaged and supportive female fitness communities in the world, with a social reach of over 50 million.
