The UK Kidney Association (UKKA) is the leading professional body for the kidney community.
We are dedicated to improving lives by supporting the multi-professional team in the delivery of kidney care, education and research - enabling people to live well with kidney disease.
In June 2021, following a merger with the British Renal Society (BRS), the Renal Association changed its name to the UK Kidney Association.
From its foundation in 1950, the Association has been active in promoting and disseminating research that may ultimately improve outcomes for patients with kidney disease. It has also taken a leading role in the education of healthcare professionals interested in kidney disease.
We have a network of over 1,400 professional members and are home to the UK Renal Registry, the British Association of Paediatric Nephrology (BAPN), the renal trainees SpR Club, the Kidney Quality Improvement Partnership (KQuIP), Rare Renal and the National Registry of Rare Kidney Diseases (RaDaR) and the UK Renal Pharmacy Group.
