Who we are: SVP Chicago scales social impact by fueling the capacity of entrepreneurial nonprofits. We apply a racial equity lens to our work because we believe all people should have equal opportunity to succeed. Because collaboration is central to our mission, we strive to develop trusting relationships with the nonprofits we support. We believe, together, nonprofits and SVP make a greater impact in providing pathways out of poverty. What we do: We provide free capacity-building support and, in some cases, unrestricted grants to Chicago nonprofits. Our members (called partners) who bring wide-ranging experience and expertise, provide pro bono consulting to nonprofits in our network. Through capacity-building support, we help nonprofit leaders grow their organizations so they can do more good.
