TICCO is the online platform and offline retreat series for people who work with cities, communities, and the built environment. As the network for people shaping cities, Ticco connects practitioners in more than 15 different practices to enhance the quality of our work and boost participants' career trajectories.
Through its platform and retreats, Ticco hosts an ongoing conversation around what it takes to shape great cities. We gather established and up-and-coming professionals in fields like urban planning, historic preservation, local government and community services, design, and more to explore the topics they care about from meeting the needs of residents to advancing their careers.
At a Ticco retreat you are sure to connect with other talented, like-minded professionals - all while learning tips and tricks from accomplished and innovative city builders. Attendees get access to a curated lineup of speakers and session leads, mentor power-hours, panels, helpful sessions, as well as group meals and outings, tote bags, and more over two jam-packed days of programming.
Our attendees come to feel inspired, make connections with potential partners and clients, grow the knowledge they have to succeed in their career or business, drink a few beers together, and cultivate new friendships in an amazing environment! Ticco retreats have taken place in Long Beach, California and Detroit, Michigan, and continue twice a year in different cities nationwide.
Past speakers include:
Rudy Espinoza (Inclusive Action for the City,) Angie Schmitt (Author and Former Editor for Streetsblog,) Tyrell Anderson (Decay Devils,) and many more.
