TRAUMA FOUNDATION SOUTH WEST is a charity that has provided free long-term counselling and psychotherapy for refugees, asylum seekers and others traumatised by war and conflict since 2002. We take referrals through specific local Bristol partners.
Our aims are to understand and to promote understanding in those affected by war, conflict and persecution by providing psychotherapeutic interventions.
We support the resilience and mental health of refugee sector workers, volunteers and hosts in the UK with high-quality, tailored supervision for individuals and groups, online and in person in Bristol.
Our training on avoiding vicarious trauma and building resilience; self-care; and working effectively with interpreters is highly valued by charities, local authorities and the NHS.
