Lighthouse of SWFL, a United Way partner agency, provides vision rehabilitation and support services to children and adults in Lee, Hendry and Glades Counties living with blindness and low vision so they may live and work independently. Classes include safe cooking, Braille, orientation and mobility, technology using iPhones and iPads, art, music, and more.
The mission of the Lighthouse of SWFL is to enable people of all ages living with low vision or blindness to remain independent, active and productive in society. Lighthouse of SWFL is funded by the Division of Blind Services, United Way, Lee County Government, and other private donors.
