Global Development Collaborative, Inc. is a multinational non-profit corporation with a roster of cutting-edge development programs in our adopted community of Nuevo Jerusalen in northern Peru. We create and implement these projects in collaboration with a ground staff consisting of Peruvian professionals and an American staff based at the University of Pennsylvania, University of Michigan, and University of Chicago.
GDC invests human and financial capital in selected partner communities in order to foster sustainable development. Much of GDC’s efforts are carried out by teams of students and professionals from all academic backgrounds (business, medicine, engineering, design, fine arts, and education). GDC believes that students already possess the necessary skills to solve real problems in the international community and therefore endows students with the freedom to manage all phases of their projects. GDC’s “Learn by Doing” philosophy means students manage all phases of their project, from creating a plan to executing the project on-site.
