The Indiana Dental Association, a constituent of the American Dental Association. serves over 83 percent of Indiana’s practicing dentists. The mission of the IDA is to support dentists, to promote professionalism, and to improve oral health in the state of Indiana.
The IDA can be your first source for information about practicing dentistry in Indiana. Whether you need a referral for a disability insurance carrier, volunteer opportunities, or answers about HIPAA patient privacy compliance, we can point you in the right direction.
Dental health is important to us, and our members. The IDA staff can help you find a dentist in your community, sources for dental care information, and phone numbers and addresses of low-cost dental clinics.
We are committed to working on behalf of our members to help enact key legislation that affects the practice of dentistry. As a leading force in Indiana's public policy debates, we believe the dental profession and its success affects the state's health. Our highest priorities are to advance the dental profession, to enhance access and quality dental care for patients, and to fight unwarranted regulations of the dental profession.
In addition, the Indiana Dental Association offers approximately 100 hours of continuing education to our members annually through the Academy of Continuing Education, Annual Session, course work, publications and various local society and study club meetings.
