Our Chapter's Mission
ASCM-Triangle Chapter provides tools for the lifelong development of knowledge and skills in supply chain operations management. These skills enhance abilities, accelerate careers and help our members and their organizations to successfully compete in a global economy.๐
Officially incorporated on January 6, 1986, the ASCM Triangle Chapter of APICS covers a very large and diverse area of Central North Carolina centered within the Greater Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area; and, includes Fayetteville, Southern Pines, and Sanford (to our south), Wilson and Rock Mount (to our east), and many of the smaller towns and villages within 40 miles north and west of the Triangle area.
As the second largest chapter in the 9 state Southeast District of APICS, we are extremely proud to recognize our 350 plus members and nearly 200 APICS Certified Professionals (CPIM, CSCP, and CLTD) that make up our Chapter membership. These members represent more than 140 companies, universities, and colleges within our chapter regional area.
With over 47,000 members in over 125 countries, APICS is the global leader and premier source of the body of knowledge in supply chain and operations management. Since 1957, individuals and companies have relied on APICS for its superior training, internationally recognized certifications, comprehensive resources, and worldwide network of accomplished industry professionals to build world-class supply chain teams. APICS certified members become highly knowledgeable on a diverse range of topics including production management, inventory optimization, materials management, purchasing, and logistics.
