I-Drop Water is a for profit social impact company based in South Africa that designs, builds and installs Waterpods in general grocery stores at no capital cost, sharing ongoing revenue from water sales with store owners. I-Drop monitors sales in real time using integrated GSM (mobile phone sim card) technology. Shoppers buy safe drinking water from a store by refilling multi-use water containers at I-Drop Water machines and paying by the litre at a fraction of the per-litre cost of bottled water. We are a mission-driven business and have helped shop owners sell millions of litres of purified drinking water refills, reducing tonnes of single-use plastic, waste water and carbon emissions associated with bottled water.
