Greenpoint Psychotherapy is a holistically minded practice. We function on the premise that by allowing ourselves to accept and experience our emotions, we will increase assertive behavior and be able to move towards greater alignment within ourselves and our environment.
We help clients with exploring how their past relationships and experiences continue to impact their present life, through identifying and changing thought patterns that have become unnecessarily negative or rigid, learning to use difficult or painful experiences to gain more insight about themselves, all so that they are able to move forward with kindness and compassion rather than fear.
We use an integration of psychodynamic, relational, IFS, CBT, yoga, and mindfulness to help clients to develop more of the characteristics they would like for themselves and improve communication. We are able to provide support and psycho-education for many problems, but especially in the areas of trauma, life-change events, communication, and codependency. We are all glad to support therapists wishing to focus or specialize in other areas.
