Reset empowers volunteers to welcome refugees into communities across the UK.
Reset is a charity formed in 2018 to grow the Community Sponsorship movement in the UK. So far we’ve supported more than 300 community groups to welcome over 800 refugees.
Reset’s mission is to ensure that as many refugees as possible are resettled by communities in the UK, and that every community is well-supported throughout this journey. Our work has three main strands:
Training & support: We train people to become Community Sponsors and hosts through Homes for Ukraine support them to provide the highest-quality support possible to a refugee family.
Research & Evaluation: We commission independent research and conduct our own evaluation through our regular Post-Arrival Support Visits with all sponsors and sponsored refugee families. Our research enables us to collect examples of best-practice, which we disseminate through our training.
Policy development: We use the knowledge we gain through research and evaluation to suggest improvements to the Community Sponsorship scheme and the Homes for Ukraine Scheme. We work closely with the Home Office and the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities to implement those changes.
Reset is a small charity with a distributed workforce.
