The Museum of the Person is a virtual and collaborative museum. It is open to anyone who wants to register and share their life story. Our collection gathers almost twenty thousand of them, not counting the photographs, documents and videos. Meet and participate. The Museum of the Person is yours, too.
Mission and goal
The Museum of the Person believes that valuing cultural diversity and the history of each person as a patrimony of humanity is to contribute to the construction of a culture of peace. Our main mission is to be an open and collaborative Museum that transforms the life histories of every person into a source of knowledge, understanding and connection between people and peoples.
It is a legacy differentiated from the country's history, which prioritizes cultural and social transformation and implies building a critical mass large enough to guarantee the sustainability of the idea and its expansion in numerous segments and social spaces.
What we do
Throughout its history, the Museum of the Person has carried out more than 280 memory projects, in the areas of Preservation and Dissemination of the Collection; Tell Your Story; Educational; and Organizational Memory. In 27 years of history, the Museum of the Person has led international campaigns for the valorization of life stories.
Production and collaborative curation
In the Museum of the Person, in addition to being a visitor, everyone can also become part of the collection by recording the history of their life, as well as being a curator, insofar as they can create their own collections of stories, images and videos.
