Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE) is a national organization providing families with the knowledge and skills essential to actively engage in their children’s education and to strengthen parent-school-community partnership and collaboration. PIQE provides empowering information, skills development and support systems for communities of color, English Learners, immigrant, and low-income families. This family engagement empowerment model has benefitted approximately 1.5 million children in its 32-year history. A recent longitudinal study showed that children of PIQE graduates, graduate from high school and attend college at higher rates than their peers. PIQE's family engagement program is being successfully replicated in 15 states and has been taught in sixteen different languages.
