We began the Electronic Music Collective with the idea that community is where we find connection, and that connections are what drive our artistic goals. Our vision is to create a music education community that will give you the support to develop fully as an artist, producer and performer, and to inspire, guide and develop your own sound. Located in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in historic downtown Manhattan, our curriculum is designed to teach you a new language of music that blurs the lines between musician, DJ, and producer, empowering you to be your best creative self. At EMC you’ll share the studio with seasoned musicians and DJs who’ll teach you the touch, feel and sounds of the latest and most advanced audio equipment available. Their guidance and the passionate peers you’ll meet at EMC will put you in the company of artists whose collective experience lifts one another up and will move you forward toward your creative goals. EMC’s programs include coursework for recreational musicians, DJs and producers, in every stage of their artistic journeys. Our 5-day Intensives were created for beginner and experienced musicians who are looking to try something new or go deeper into their artistic pursuits. Courses featured include introductory and advanced courses in Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Native Instruments’ Maschine, and the art of recording, mixing, and DJing. Located in bustling downtown Manhattan, our 9,000-square-foot facility features acoustically treated classrooms outfitted with the latest in music technology, private lesson rooms, a dedicated recording studio with a 48-Channel Solid State Logic, AWS Delta SuperAnalogue™ Console, and a live performance space.
