The Institute of Development Management (IDM) remains a relevant player in the training, education, consultancy and research agendas in Botswana, Lesotho and Eswatini (BOLESWA).
IDM is a brainchild of the three Governments of Botswana, Lesotho and Eswatini, having been established in 1974 by the fore-bearers (Sir Seretse Khama of the Republic of Botswana, King Sobhuza II of the Kingdom of Eswatini and King Moshoeshoe II of the Kingdom of Lesotho). Initially, IDM offered in-service, short-term human resource up-skilling programs, mainly in the civil service and later in the private sector.
IDM has since evolved to produce graduates for the SADC region in the areas of Business and Information Resource Management, Human Resource and Organizational Development Management and Public Health, offering Certificate, Diploma, Degree to Masters levels. The programs are accredited by the industry regulatory bodies to meet quality standards. IDM also offers short-term management development programs.
