The University of Houston is a school of higher learning. I am teaching in the school of Communication. My current job is teaching a class called Local Campaigns where we partner with an organization called Edventure Partners. They find real clients that want to advertise to the college generation. Our client this semester is Chevrolet and we are promoting the Camaro, Equinox and Cruz to the Y Generation of the campus. The class becomes a full running advertising agency with all the departments that an agency would have. Every member has a duty to fulfill to make our advertising campaign a success. We are paid real dollars to do this campaign. It's end results is a win-win proposition.
The students learn how an agency works and what is expected of them and the client gets lots of exposure on the campas and they learn a lot of demographics and statistics that will be valuable to sell their product.
