The NYC Department of Cultural Affairs is the largest local funder of art and culture in the United States. Each year, we provide public funding to more than 1,000 cultural nonprofits across all five boroughs of New York which represent the vast breadth and diversity of our city's cultural life.
Working alongside these partners in the cultural community, we also provide technical assistance, advocacy, and help drive policy and conversation about fostering a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive cultural community that engages all New Yorkers.
