The California Winter League is the premier competitive development league in the country, with the goal of giving free agent baseball players a platform to get signed to their first or their next professional contract. In operation since 2010, the California Winter League has helped over 850 CWL players get signed to pro contracts at all levels of baseball over its last 14 seasons. With three former CWL players making their MLB debuts in 2022, the CWL continues to have alumni at every level of baseball around the world in 2023.
Over the coure of the month-long season in January and February, players play 4-6 games per week in front of professional managers and Major Legaue scouts from all over the country who are looking to sign players for their organizations. With an average of 200+ players per year, the CWL gives baseball players the best platform to showcase their abilities while providing opportunities to develop their game in a professional environment.
The CWL also offers an up close and personal fan experience, with GA tickets priced at just $10 with daily promotions and deals for seniors and children. The CWL is always looking for motivated interns to assist with gameday operations during our season, which is played in the winter time in Palm Springs, CA when there are not many other opportunities to work in baseball and get experience. Plus, with 25-30 professional organizations represented in the CWL each year, the CWL offers unmatched networking opportunities before the start of Major League spring training.
