Founded in 2003, navAero has been at the leading edge of EFB technology. We have helped the Aviation industry define the standards and desired architecture for Class 2 hardware.
With more than 30 years of experience in designing, manufacturing and commercializing application-specific computer systems, navAero is bringing to the aviation marketplace a ruggedly built Class 2 EFB system that meet the needs of the commercial, business and military aviation industry in terms of design, functionality and affordability.
The navAero tBag™ EFB system is a small, compact, low-cost modular computer system that has been purposefully designed and built specifically for use in an airplane. The tBag is the first EFB product that took into account the need for hardware to be modular in design and flexible in structure that will allow for installation on virtually all flight decks…from transport and military aircraft to business aviation.
And for those that want a tablet solution, navAero has iPad and Windows tablet EFB deployment solutions. These technology offerings provide customers with the option to deploy only a mount for the device, or add to the mount the capability to tap-into aircraft power for device charging. You can also add the optional Universal Aircraft Interface Device (UAID) to the system and gain access to the ARINC 429 and 717 bus. The UAID also features an internal dedicated ARM-based processing platform for QAR and lifetime QAR data storage and data forwarding.
The navAero EFB hardware technology has been designed and manufactured to meet the rigorous requirements for business, commercial and military aircraft installations, yet built with modular flexibility that allows it to be easily fitted into virtually any aircraft type – either fixed or rotary wing. All components meet or exceed certification requirements and applicable DO-160G levels.
