About the Weber County Sheriff's Office
Weber County is an excellent place for discoveries and comprised of 661 square miles and nestled between the Great Salt Lake and the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. The unspoiled beauty of the land, the friendliness of the people, and the fascinating history of the region offer limitless possibilities for fun and excitement. Weber County has long been the crossroads of Utah and the Intermountain West. Its eastern boundary is the spine of the Wasatch Mountains, with their towering peaks and sharp valleys. In the west, it extends into the Great Salt Lake. Both mountains and flatlands are laced by the Ogden and Weber Rivers and their tributaries.
Weber County is the second smallest county in land mass and the fourth largest in population in the State of Utah, with a population now approaching 275,000 residents. There are fifteen incorporated cities within Weber County. Of that number, Weber County Sheriff's Office provides all direct law-enforcement services for seven of those cities. The Sheriff's Office also contracts with the U. S. Forest Service to provide additional security in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest.
