Hello, we’re Critical Publishing…
…and we’re here to help people in education and social work become the best students and professionals they can be.
We (Di and Julia) founded Critical Publishing in 2012 after taking redundancy from our previous jobs at the same publishing company. We met up in the cafe in the British Library and hatched a plan. We believed we could produce books and learning materials for education and social work students and professionals that were fresher and better than what was already around.
We believe we can do this by offering a more critical approach (in all the best senses) that helps our readers think and encourages them to analyse, evaluate, question and challenge. But without making it too difficult or daunting.
So our readers achieve better skills, increased awareness and greater success in their chosen professional paths. We’ve now published our first books, which readers are loving.
We always welcome book proposals, whether from first-time or more experienced authors. So if you have a book idea, why not get in touch?
