The Center for Social Innovation proves purpose and hope for people with challenged backgrounds by creating new pathways full of opportunity and support in a college setting. The Center was launched on August 31, 2020 through a generous donation from the Gaylord Foundation. Our goal is to help answer the "what's next?" question people have after they get sober, receive custody of their children back, or other life-changing events. We focus on training and developing our students to find who they are (identity) and help them decide what they want to do with their newfound lives. We believe not only in second chances, but also that long-term and sustainable recovery is found when people are motivated by hope and empowered to become leaders and make a difference in the world.
