The Knowledge Equity Lab is an inclusive, trans-disciplinary, experimental learning and research space. Based at the Department of Global Development Studies at UTSC, it is an incubator for a community of practitioners advancing knowledge equity, centering marginalized and under-represented knowledge-makers as a means of social justice and change. As a research and practice lab, we house projects investigating multiple forms of exclusion within the highly unequal knowledge production and exchange structures. Based on these findings, we take collective action to re-imagine, re-envision, and re-make a world where different ways of knowing, living, and being coexist.
