The Company A wholly owned subsidiary of Weekend Holdings, WeCannect is a free business-to-business discovery and networking platform built exclusively for the cannabis industry. Our site enables cannabis cultivators, dispensaries, manufacturers, equipment providers, suppliers and services to showcase their products and foster meaningful industry relationships. The Idea While attending an industry trade show for Green Tank in 2016, Weekend Holdings founders Dustin and Corey Koffler realized the difficulties that cannabis businesses face when trying to connect and network with one another outside of trade shows. Not only are trade shows infrequent and expensive to attend, but also most plant-touching companies are strictly prohibited from using traditional marketing channels to advertise their products. In response, Corey created WeCannect to serve as a free online cannabis expo platform, one that would enable cannabis companies to easily connect, network, learn about recent developments and new players within the industry, and showcase their products without needing to leave the office. The Launch WeCannect launched in Toronto, Canada, in November 2017, and has already made enormous strides in the industry. In just over six months, the company has already attracted more than 1,000 cannabis companies that are using the platform to network and showcase their product or service offering. WeCannect’s user base is wide-ranging, and includes companies from all facets of the cannabis industry throughout the world. WeCannect plans to incorporate new features, functions and content into the platform as the company continues its expansion.
