Zambia Airports Corporation Limited is a Public Limited Company which is wholly owned by the Government of Zambia. It was established in 1989 through an act of Parliament No. 16 of 1989 which is incorporated as an amendment to the Aviation Act, Chapter 444 of the Laws of Zambia. The Corporation is also incorporated under the Companies Act Chapter 388.It is responsible for the development, maintenance and management of the four designated international airports, namely, Kenneth Kaunda (Lusaka), Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula (Livingstone), Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe (Ndola), and Mfuwe and the provision of air navigation services throughout Zambia. The Corporation is mandated to enhance safety and improve standards of service provision at these airports and in the Zambian air space.The Corporation recognizes that the changing demands of airlines, passengers and the general public can only be met if facilities and services are modernised through refurbishment, rehabilitation, replacement and new construction. The Corporation is structured in three Divisions namely: Head Office, Airport Services and Air Navigation Services. The Corporate Head Office consists of the Managing Director’s office which also overseas Internal Audit, Public Relations (PR) and Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ). It also consists of Service Departments like Legal and Administration, Human Resources, and Finance.
