Since August of 1980, Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado has helped consumers find businesses, brands, and charities they can trust serving 25 counties throughout Southern Colorado. BBB of Southern Colorado sets standards for marketplace trust - to create a community of trustworthy businesses and charities - by encouraging and supporting best practices, educating consumers and businesses, celebrating business role models, and calling out and addressing substandard marketplace behavior. BBB of Southern Colorado houses nearly 40,000 reviews on companies in the region. In 2016, it processed 2,660 complaints and had 1.67 million page views on its website. In addition to providing important information and resources to businesses and consumers, BBB of Southern Colorado has developed innovative programs including the Age-Friendly Business Certification, BBB Excellence Awards and the Colorado Institute for Social Impact (formerly the BBB of Southern Colorado Foundation).

Your Better Business Bureau System represents the concept of self-regulation in the marketplace through voluntary cooperation. We are a public service supported by private businesses. We are considered an important information resource for businesses and consumers. Although we are affiliated with the 135 bureaus across the U.S. and Canada, each bureau is a separate corporation. The Council of Better Business Bureaus is located in Arlington, VA. The Council issues charters for local bureaus, provides support services and monitors adherence to standard guidelines.
