EnCor grew out of the research activities of Dr. Gerry Shaw, a Professor at the University of Florida, formerly of the Max Planck Institute of Biophysical Chemistry in Goettingen, Germany. The company originally produced antibodies generated in Dr. Shaw's research laboratory and now independently develops novel immunoreagents on a routine basis.
