Created in 1972, the Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá has as its mission to be a positive driving force for the health sector and thus make a contribution to the wellbeing of individuals and communities as a whole. To accomplish this mission, it has focused on developing and implementing successful high-impact health management models that are innovative, comprehensive and reproducible.
From the start, the Founders decided that the institution would always be a non-profit organization guided by sound principles of excellence, scientific leadership and corporate social responsibility.
As proof of its commitment to society, the Foundation, since its creation, set up a Community Health program designed to establish and promote healthy environments in the most vulnerable communities. The Health Studies and Research Center, the Education Division, the Out-patient Center and the University Hospital make up the whole of the Foundation´s operation and each is an expression of the institutional philosophy of being a service organization committed to the promotion of human health and quality of life.
The Foundation´s corporate structure ensures the integration of its four strategic units. This translates into synergies and a stronger value proposition for society. A sound and modern corporate governance structure ensures compliance with the Foundation´s corporate purpose. Likewise, the use of modern management techniques results in highly effective and efficient work for the benefit of society.
